I still like my job and am still having fun with it. It is a lot of work and is very demanding. I have to be quick and on time, which can be hard at times. Lorie is still helping me and is being pretty patient with me,she says I learn andpick things upfast so thats good. I can't imagine how the other girl before me could have the same q's after 2 years! Lorie thinks I'll be better than her, she already thinks I do a lot of things better than her. I'm bragging...
Man, today the Dr had prescribed something to a Pt and like 3 hrs later we get a call from the FDA telling us it had just been recalled!! Crazy huh, we couldn't believe it.
The other day I had to do an ABI, it's where you take the bp on both their arms and thier ankles and divide the #'s to see how well their blood is pumping through their legs, it checks for embolisms (blood clots), and this guys feet stunk soo bad I thought I was going to pass out PEEUUW. I never wanted a nose plug soo bad before. There are a few procedures we get to do, we do EKG, ABI, MMSE which is a memory test, and medicine consults. We have to tell/ show them how/when to take thier meds. We have Fortieo ( I think I spelled that wrong) which is an inj for your bones, it's the only drug that has been clinicly proven to grow/rebuild bone. The Dr still has them on calcium and vit D while on this. The Pt has to be instructed by us and a video, which we show them , on how and why theyhave to take this RX. Did you know that ca can not absorb in your bone without vitD? I didn't know that.
Kenny and I are doing well, we don't do much but we have fun still. I come home from work, lounge around for awhile, then cook dinner. We have a few shows, I got him hooked on CSI and all those kinds of shows. He even likes Reba!!
We are still waiting on getting his stupid car, every time he goes to get it something has to be done first, and OFCOURSE they don't tell you everything all up front, you have to find out piece by piece. So were waiting for my next check and we'll go get it hopefully.
Anyways, Kenny is doing real well at home, he helps me by cleaning up during the day, and doing the laundry. I really appreciate his help, it makes Saturday cleaning a lot easier. I deep clean the house every Saturday. I kinda like him being home...
Well Iam exausted and my feet feel like they're going to fall off, soo I am going to go lay down.. I love you all and hope to see you soon. Hope your all healthy and doing well.....xoxoxoxoxoxo

Glad to hear about your job Amber, sounds like a good one! You quickly got all the codes down, you'll need to translate to me on some of them:). Stinky feet... that would gross me out too. I definately have a respect for the medical field for all they have to deal with, and appreciate all they do. Keep up the good work!
let me know the codes you need and I'll let you know..Thanks for the props
Hey, Kiddo! I bet you thought I dropped off the face of the earth! I fianally got to read all the way through your blog! Talk about "Just Catchin Up"!
I'm happy to hear you guys are happy! It's funny once you finally decide to make the commitment everything just works out and you wonder what all the worry was about.
Your new job sounds soooooo much better than the other one. I'm glad. A bad job can really put a strain on the rest of your life and lets face it, the jobs important but not what life is all about!
Love you, kiddo,
Mom
